Phone Conference Providers

Can an employer legally defer business expenses to employees?

I am an IT support technician Security, my employer (large multinationalbank too) is to reduce costs and decided that ADSL lines to be treated as a utility and employees must now pay for their own. As broadband business is expensive I have checked the T & C in the case of domestic ADSL and claim that not to be used for commercial purposes. As I can not really commercial contract can my employer aafforda that force me to break with knowledge of these T & C ADSL provider does not have some corporate responsibility here? Also, they are about to do that employees pay for work-related phone calls (except international), which sometimes requires me to dial into conference calls for hours and hours of the major themes of the tens of pounds of costs at a time can do that? Cheers Adam

If they expect you to to access systems of the house then they should pay at least part of the cost. if they expect you to make business calls from home, then again the same to be paid for them. If not then you are every right to say no will. As for the bit of business of the t & c – but it is a commercial purpose is not "running" a business and thousands of people national lines used to access the accounts work – I would not worry about it. I would worry more that the company is not going to pay for business expenses.
