Credit are many telemarketing companies now under the guise of "customer service?"?

I have a new card with Orchard Bank, but is little nervous at having to even the automated call center response by trying to coerce people into a service that does not need. Now, I'm still wary the use of computer services, especially since we had a keystroke and hook on your computer monitor recently passed through to achieve this, is a international conglomerate of my husband who works with the U.S. Government. Yes, that's how well this thing was encrypted, and there do not know if you will. Anyway, I do not bank Online. Period. But all this fraudulent "customer care / personal touch" thing is making me consider switching. Is this practice only the new trend, or I can safely make the leap and assume I will be safe from predators (LOL) when I call an automated line?

Most places are going to try to cross-sell something if you deal with them. It's the world we live in, especially with the economy as it stands. If you need to talk to someone, so clearly and politely tell them you only want answers to their questions and do not want to hear about other offers that may be. I do not think you should have any concerns on fraud to make a call and sure where you're calling. Good luck.
